..korn.. 1993~present
KoRn is a very important band to me...They've been in my life since i was like 3 but I only got into them maybe 4 years ago, and of course super into them around 2 years ago. I think KoRn is the band with the most lyrics i relate to..the most. When I feel alone I listen to KoRn, ok that sounds a bit weird and parasocial in some way but I can tell you i'm not one of those crazy people..Did that make sense? I don't think i'm the biggest KoRn fan, but I know i'm a pretty huge fan. KoRn has helped me through alot of stuff..And I can listen to them whenever i feel shit. There's not a lot of other bands like that for me! Which is a reason they're such an important band to me! (..Like I said in the beginning..)
The song playing is Fake, *one of my favorite KoRn songs, I can relate to it a lot too. I feel that way about some of the people I know. My favorite albums from them are their self-titledm (my #2) and Life is Peachy (my #1). My personal favorite songs (mostly for their lyrics if you couldn't already tell) is Fake, Lies, Helmet in the Bush, Chi, Good God, and B.B.K. The first song I heard from them was Blind from my dad, and later on, the first album I fully listened to was Follow the Leader. then Life is Peachy, then Issues, their ST and so on. Not in order, yeah...And I remember the first music video I saw from them was Got the Life.
Now, to the band themselves, they formed in 1993 by Munky and Fieldy. Jonathan Davis was in Sexart beforehand. David, Munky and Fieldy were previously in L.A.P.D. They are from Bakersfield (i've had a sleepover with my cousin there before) and the lineup consisted of..everyone I named, and Head on guitar. They first released Neidermayer's mind (EP) in 1993 and went on to release their ST which was basically the first nu-metal album. Then went on to become the most popular nu-metal band (and one of the most popular bands in general) ! There's *a lot more to their history but that's it in a nutshell sorta. Their most popular song is Freak on a Leash, from their album Follow the Leader.
And again to why I like them, they have lyrics that are specific but still easy to relate to, at least for me, and they aren't afraid to make songs about things like rape that a lot of people go through unlike a lot of other bands. And it actualy sounds good too. Some memories I have with KoRn are: Making friends from my KoRn shirt, my mom got for me at a Hot Topic in the mainland while I was still living in Saipan..Where we have no band clothes in stores! And i'm too impatient for ordering, plus broke. That's my favorite one. Hmm..My dad playing KoRn when I was like 6. I actually remember that one.
Head, my favorite KoRn member. Did my hair like him for a day and got laughed at by a girl. It was less ridicule than I expected...Which is nice
KoRn during concert. I like it when JD does the dance.
Can't find the exact picture but I had a poster of the band something like this but they had pitbulls..And if we're friends you probably know what happened to it, but in short it got pissed on by a mystery person. Or mystery...creature?
Fiddler..I actually think he has really damn good fashion sense..It's just that he had to be a weirdo..
Band picture..I like this one, especially Head in the back.
All pics belong to their respective owners. My broke lazy ass took none of them.
