‎ ..shun.. 1997~2002/3

Ever since a friend reminded me about this band I discovered around a year ago...I've been listening to them nonstop, i truly believe if they stuck around a bit longer, they could have become something, you could really hear them becoming better and better each album to their final single. Shun was a fairly unknown band..At least today. Formed in Nashville 1997 with a lineup consisting of Billy White (frontman/lead singer), Cris Hawkins (guitars), Richie Glover (bass), David Crutcher (guitars), and Jac Glenn (drums). They were made with the idea of focusing on the beauty and emotion that music needs to impassion the listener, and I think they reached that. What do you think?

They were actually covered on theprp (Pimp Rock Palace), and was even chosed as band of the month. here's a quote.. ~"Music filled with well-written melodies created by musicians that consider emotion something as important as oxygen. Heavenly climates and vocals that will be sure to make a tear fall from your eye" -theprp.com.

I agree with that theprp had to say about shun...Here's an excerpt taken from their website. (www.shunband.com) "SHUN spent the first 3 years of their existence honing their skills as a band and as songwriters, taking the necessary time needed to find all the right ingredients to make an original sound that grabs the listener and pulls them into the songs. During this time the band also played endless amounts of shows regionally in the Southeast, building a strong grassroots fan base."

And back to myself, I love shun because you can even hear in their sound the way they put emotion first..Listen to the lyrics and instruments! Shun (even before i forgot about them and recently re-discovered) has helped me, and I know they've helped others too as you can see by the few fans, from past and present...Also something to relate to. The song playing currently, Piece by Piece, is my favorite Shun song.

Here's a band picture. There's a spot that looks like it was edited, maybe to remove someone. Wonder what that's about?

Another band picture again from the frontpage of the website as the picture section is broken. I like the blueness..Adds to the emotion

All pics belong to their respective owners. My broke lazy ass took none of them.
